A final reminder that the club AGM will be on this Thursday at the offices of British Canoeing at 8pm for light refreshments with the business of the day starting at 8.30 prompt.
To access British Canoeing drive around to the main centre building, and park in the car park. Instead of going to the main reception please go to the middle part of the building where there is a covered walkway from one building to the other, and turn left. The offices of British Canoeing are on the left as you enter the building. It is a secured building so you will need to buzz for access.
Late comers should ring 07969 331101 for someone to come down and let them in.
I am delighted that we have received nominations for all positions and those offering to stand are:
Chair – Dawn Scott Treasurer – Kirst Elton Secretary – Ian Law Membership secretary and Charity officer – Guy Wilson Coaching Officer – Ian Scott Slalom – Mark Haylett Freestyle – Andy Brown Youth – Christina Noakes Recreation – Trevor Tarlton-Weatherall Development – now to become communications – Kenneth Rankin
The AGM is an opportunity for the club to review the previous year, let you know what we plan for the coming year, and carry out the formal business of adopting our accounts and electing our committee and trustees.
We look forward to seeing you there, and as we have nominations for all posts there is no chance of being dragooned on the night!
If anyone could offer to help with the refreshments on the evening then could they please let me know as that would be very helpful.
Final Call for the Wye Weekend.
Bookings for the Wye weekend will close on Wednesday when we send the final list to the campsite to book the number of pitches. Please make sure that we know that you are attending if you want to come as this is not a turn up and camp site, as each pitch needs to be booked by the club and we can’t expect the campsite to keep back spaces for us that we won’t use.
We look forward to seeing you at the AGM. Regards Dawn Scott Club Chairman
