August update

Dear Paddler

Well we are well into the summer holidays, and I hope that you have managed to avoid the rain.

There will be a club session tomorrow but the weather forecast is very poor with high winds and rain forecast, this may restrict us to skills on the pond if the river is running fast.

Due to holidays we have no WW coaches available tomorrow, and anyone wanting to paddle independently on the course should check the river levels before travelling as the river levels are rising at the moment.

We still have spaces on our SUP Sheltered water course running on Thursday nights starting on the 15th of August.  This will give you a great understanding of SUP and is designed for those who have paddled a board before.

Please sign up as quickly as possible for this course.

A number of people have expressed an interest in the first aid course (14/15th September) – contact [email protected] for a booking form.

Congratulations to Andy Steel, Steve Bellamy and Paddy McNulty who have all been signed off on the HPPCC WW endorsement.  We hope that they will be available to support paddlers on the course and back channels when they are all back from their holidays.

Wherever you paddle this summer stay safe – remember the basic rules to let people know where you are going and when you will be back, check the weather forecasts, and paddle within the level of your capability.

Take care
