A quick update on courses and a social opportunity

Dear Paddler

Due to a couple of cancellations two places have become available on our open canoe master class this Sunday.  If you would like to take one of those places please contact me either at the club session tomorrow or by email.

Cost is £46 for an outstanding day of coaching with Jenna Sanders.

Saturday’s session is planned to still go ahead depending on the weather, but the course is currently at 2.71m, so is well above the closure level of 2.2m.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we will be moving the dates of our explore and discover course back a little bit to lighter nights and this course will now start on the 12th of March until the 16th of April.  Eventzillia will be changed to reflect this.

And now a social opportunity:

With another winter washout weekend in prospect why not lift your spirits by looking forward to joining your fellow  club members for a burl about the dance floor at the city centre ceilidh on Saturday 22nd February. This is an annual ceilidh dance to a live band with all dances called so absolutely no experience is needed. This year the Ceilidh is being held  at the Belgrave Rooms on Goldsmith Street. The doors open at 7.30 pm with dancing to 11.00 pm. There is free parking (off Chaucer Street) and the tram stops outside the venue. It’s a great evening for families and children are welcome too. Tickets are £10 on the door.  This is the 3rd year club members have gone and a fabulous, fun evening dancing the Dashing White Sargent, the Gay Gordons and stripping the Willow is guaranteed. We look forward to seeing you there. If you need any further information about the event please contact Ian Law at [email protected].
